The office will be closed from 11:15 am to 1:15 pm today for a Bar Association luncheon.

Also I had to post this picture Bridgette Ann took today during a hearing I had on zoom. I have to say that when Bridge came to work here it was the best thing to happen here and Zoey becoming the office dog and emotional support not only for us but our clients was easily the next best thing!

In coordination with , will revoke U.S. passports of those who owe significant child support debt. Anyone owing child support debt should arrange payment now with the relevant state child support enforcement agency to prevent passport revocation. If outside the U.S. when their passport is revoked, individuals with significant debt will be eligible ONLY for a limited validity passport for direct return to the United States. Its been such a great day!! Thank you so much to everyone that came out whether you gave blood, tried to give, or just came to say hi and give the support!
This event is so near to my heart, I started this after having my daughter and needing 3 blood transfusions without which who knows what my outcome may have been.

VIEWPOINT: Despite establishing a dedicated family court system in 1996, nearly three decades of experience reveal that our current structure is not providing the outcomes Michigan families deserve.

Delays, inconsistency, inefficiency, and a troubling number of poor decisions that are later overturned on appeal have become hallmarks of our family court system. One major cause of these issues is the frequent rotation of judges who lack the specialized knowledge required to navigate the complexities of family law. It’s time for a change.
