Please don’t fall for Dan Cox’s data center announcement. He’s a dangerous candidate whose legislative record is full of attempts to prevent women’s right to an abortion. He’s anti public school and will impose his religious beliefs upon us all. We just had to share this article with you because this excerpt is particularly unhinged, even for the High Sheriff: While Jenkins criticized the policy changes, he saved most of his venom for Bickel, calling his perennial challenger a “treacherous prick.” Jenkins, who is 70, worked under Bickel’s command at the sheriff’s office during the 90s and considers him “devious.”

“I’m going to tell you what, man to man: I’d kick his ass, personally,” Jenkins told me. “Physically. I’d stomp his ass. Someday, he’s got an ass-kicking coming. I don’t like the son of a bitch. Personally, politically, he’s no good. He can read all the books he wants.”

Frederick County’s sheriff turned his office into a force multiplier for ICE before such collaboration became commonplace. As he again faces voters this year, the harm to immigrant communities is impossible to ignore.
