Excited to help bring Jackson’s dreams to life!
Jim Howe Motorsports LLC is honored to welcome Wilson & Scholz, a general practice law firm based in Franklin (IN), to our growing stable of sponsors for our 2026 season with Jackson Jessup, age 10, from Westfield (IN).
Wilson & Scholz was founded by John “Phil” Wilson in 1974 with Maximilian “Max” Scholz joining the practice. Max is the primary partner, allowing Phil to reduce his hours. The firm handles all legal matters throughout Indiana but their most common areas of practice are criminal, family, and estate law.
Max graduated from Stetson College of Law in Gulfport, FL. His journey has taken him from private practice to roles as a prosecutor in both Marion and Johnson counties. He brings a comprehensive experience and a commitment to excellence to every case. His unique background equips him to handle complex legal challenges with a nuanced and informed approach.
Often seen in flip flops and shorts, you’ll find Max is not your stereotypical stodgy attorney. He’s relatable, welcoming, and understanding. He does, however, wear a three-piece suit to court; as he is above all else sharp minded (and dressed), professional, and commanding in the court room.
JHM is proud to have Max and his practice support us for Jackson’s sophomore season in the JHM #62 BirelART C28-S16 kart with power from a BBS Race Engine Development Mini-Swift. In his debut with the team last year, Jackson posted seven wins, ten fast times, and finished all but one of his 17 races he started. He won the Mini-Swift championship with the Ohio Valley Karting Association (OVKA) at G&J Kartway (Camden, OH) and was runner-up in the class in the Southern Indiana Racing Association (SIRA) traveling street series.
Though that is a tough stat line to better, Jim and Jackson are wanting even more for 2026. And support from Wilson & Scholz will definitely go a long way toward helping us get there when the season starts 29 MAR at G&J Kartway (Camden, OH) with OVKA.
We’d love to have your company join us for Jackson’s “super sophomore” season. Race fans support car sponsors and we have some great programs to help your business grow. Don’t forget, JHM is a LLC so any sponsorship can be counted as advertising (business expense) for taxes. Give Jim a call today!!!!
