It’s officially time to say goodbye to our star summer intern, Jacob! 🎓✨

Jacob is heading off to Washington, D.C. to start his next chapter at George Washington University. To say he’s been a massive help at Larsen Law this summer would be an understatement. With his infectious personality and constant smile, he jumped right into the criminal defense madness without missing a beat.
From keeping our associate attorney Libby from completely losing her mind—tackling drafting, organizing discovery, and helping manage clients in court—to running endless courthouse errands for Jess and Kaylyn, he handled every single task with zero complaints and pure positivity.

We are so sad to see him go, but we know his future is wildly bright. D.C. isn't ready for you, Jacob! Good luck at GWU—the whole Larsen Law team is going to miss you! 🏛️⚖️💙

Meet Jessica Burns! ✨

If you’ve called or visited Larsen Law recently, Jessica is likely the first face you saw or the warm voice on the other end of the line. Serving as our Paralegal and Receptionist, she joined our team in January 2026 and help keeps everything running seamlessly.

Originally from Birmingham, Alabama, Jessica grew up right here in Franklin. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Political Science from Loyola University New Orleans and is also a certified yoga instructor. Outside the office, you’ll find her reading, spending time outdoors, practicing or teaching yoga, trying new things, and spending quality time with her fur baby, Mavi!

It’s honestly surreal to share the stage with them, even if my part is just a short speech about our program. Thank you to Senator Jack Johnson and Representative Lee Reeves for the surprise Proclamation recognizing 25 years of Recovery Court’s service to the community. It’s an honor to serve as President of this life changing organization!
