🏡 “Is NOW a good time to buy a home?”
I get asked this question all the time.
And my answer might surprise you…
A good time to buy isn’t necessarily when the MARKET is perfect. It’s when the timing and the NUMBERS make sense for YOU.
A lot of people are sitting on the sidelines waiting for interest rates to drop, prices to fall, or for someone to announce that “now is the perfect time.”
But here’s the problem…
If rates drop significantly, you may suddenly have more buyers competing for the same homes.
If you wait for prices to drop, they may not drop where you want to buy.
And while you're waiting, you're still paying for somewhere to live.
That does NOT mean everyone should run out and buy a house today.
It means we need to look at your situation, not just the headlines.
Can you comfortably afford the payment?
Do you have money set aside beyond your down payment?
Are you planning to stay long enough for buying to make sense?
Is there a property available that actually fits your needs and budget?
If those pieces line up, today's market may actually offer opportunities.
Buyers currently have something they haven't always had in recent years: CHOICES and negotiating power on certain properties.
And remember — you may be able to refinance a mortgage later if rates improve.
You can't go back later and renegotiate the price you paid for the house.
So instead of asking:
❌ “Is this the perfect market to buy?”
Maybe the better question is:
👉 “Is this the right time for ME to buy?”
That’s the conversation I think buyers should be having.
Don't buy because someone tells you that you should.
And don't sit on the sidelines simply because someone tells you that you shouldn't.
Know your numbers. Understand the market. Have a strategy. Then make the decision that's right for YOU. 🏡🔑
Homeownership isn’t just about finding the right house — it starts with having the right financial roadmap. 🏡🗺️
Sometimes the first step isn’t looking at homes at all. It’s sitting down, looking at where you are financially today, understanding what needs to happen next, and creating a realistic path toward where you want to be.
That’s one of the things I truly enjoy helping people with. I can help you understand the financial roadmap to homeownership — from preparing and planning to eventually getting those keys in your hand. 🔑
You may be ready today. You may be six months away. You may need a year or two.
That’s okay. The important thing is knowing what road you’re on and what steps will get you there.
You don’t have to figure it all out by yourself. ❤️
