ALERT

Refugees/Asylees/DACA Recipients:

Texas will no longer issue or renew Commercial Drivers Licenses (CDLs) for anyone with the above statuses. Despite their being authorized for employment under our laws, Texas has chosen to prevent them from holding commercial driving jobs.

I know this impacts many of my clients that I've worked with who provide for their families as truck drivers. Please be aware that, in Texas, you will be unable to renew your CDL for the foreseeable future. Any pending applications for a CDL by refugees/asylees/DACA are set to be terminated.
