⚖ JUSTICE AND ACCOUNTABILITY FOR TENANTS ⚖

Legal Aid of NorthWest Texas' Community Revitalization Project has secured over $500,000 on behalf of tenants who endured deplorable living conditions. The resolution provides every resident with relocation assistance, helping them to move to safe, secure housing.

Texas law is clear: homes should be habitable and properly maintained.

Great teamwork by the tenants group, City of Mesquite, and LANWT's CRP team in holding this landlord accountable.

LANWT staff will be present this Saturday, September 26 from 10 A.M. to 2 P.M. at the City of Dallas National Preparedness Fair located at 5657 Mariner Dr., Dallas, TX 75237.

The fair brings several entities and organizations together to provide education and information on disaster preparedness. The Legal Aid Express, our mobile office unit, will be on site. LANWT staff will be on site to share information and take applications for our services. This is a family and child friendly event.

L. Clifford Davis Legal Assoc., Texas A&M University School of Law, and LANWT are partnering to hold a free legal clinic on October 3, 2026 to help those with Tarrant County criminal records clear eligible charges. This in-person clinic runs 9 am to 1 pm at the Como Community Center, 4660 Horne Street, Fort Worth.

Clinic applicants must bring the intake questionnaire and financial statement found at www.lcdla-bar.com. For those who prefer to apply online, complete and upload the forms also found at www.lcdla-bar.com. Online applications will be accepted only on October 3 and 4.
