The first 25 eligible individuals served will receive basic estate-planning documents. You must be present to complete an intake and be assigned to an attorney.

🧹 2026 Fall Expunction Clinic

Eligible applicants can receive assistance seeking a fresh start. Only Tarrant County charges will be accepted.

The L. Clifford Davis Legal Foundation is proud to welcome The Honorable Renée Harris Toliver, United States Magistrate Judge for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas Division, as the Keynote Speaker for our 2026 Annual Gala! ⚖️✨

A Fort Worth native and proud graduate of historic Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, Judge Toliver’s remarkable legal career spans more than four decades of service. Before taking the federal bench in 2010, she served as an Assistant U.S. Attorney, prosecutor, appellate advocate, and chief of the Gang Prosecution Unit in Tarrant County.

Her commitment to justice extends well beyond the courtroom. Judge Toliver has dedicated her career to mentorship, education, reentry initiatives, and community service—and continues a powerful family legacy as the granddaughter of Grandmother of Juneteenth Opal Lee.

Her journey embodies exactly what we celebrate through this year’s theme:

From representing clients in state and federal courts to providing leadership through the NAACP and State Bar of Texas, Attorney Gaines has dedicated his life to protecting our communities and strengthening the legal profession. His remarkable service has earned him numerous honors, including the Tarrant County Bar Association Professionalism Award and the Texas NAACP Heroes Award.

Dr. Sorrell is the longest-serving president in the 153-year history of Paul Quinn College, where he has spent 18 years transforming the institution into a nationally recognized model for innovative higher education and community impact.

But his leadership journey extends far beyond the college campus.

A lawyer and former Dallas attorney, Dr. Sorrell worked for several Dallas law firms before serving as a Special Assistant in the Executive Office of the President during the Clinton Administration and later working as a public affairs consultant.
