As a Texas family law attorney who’s walked many parents through holiday stress, let me gently remind you: your children are watching, listening, and learning from how you handle this season. The holidays don’t have to be a battleground. They can be a chance to show your kids what cooperation and respect look like, even when things are hard. Communicate early, stick to your parenting plan, and stay flexible when life happens. Extend a little grace—to each other and to yourselves. When parents work together, children feel secure, loved, and able to enjoy the magic of the season. That’s what matters most.
