Three generations of women started out doing trunk shows and permanent jewelry — and now they have their own boutique right here in Keller. That's not a marketing tagline. That's just what happened.

I sat down with Debbie, and hearing her tell it — grandmother, daughter, granddaughter, starting small and building this thing together — is exactly why this series exists. It's not the big development everyone's talking about. It's finding a place like this and meeting the people behind it.

A few things I did not see coming: apparently the sweatshirts in here are the ones all the teenagers are after (I did not know this — Debbie did). And the permanent jewelry? Ask Kallie: 3 Things That Make A Realtor Cringe 😬

Say it with me: Zillow's Zestimate is not an appraisal. 🙃

Here are 3 things that make me want to gently lie down on the floor when I hear them from sellers:

1️⃣ "Zillow says my house is worth $X" — an algorithm has never walked through your home, never seen your updates, and doesn't know your market.

2️⃣ "I'm not decluttering — buyers like a lived-in feel" — no, buyers like being able to picture their own life in the space. Your collection of 47 throw pillows is not helping.

3️⃣ "My neighbor listed at $900K and got it, so that's my number too" — your neighbor's home is not your home. Different condition, different updates, different timing.

Bottom line: price your home based on real market data from a professional who's actually in it — not Zillow, not your neighbor, and definitely not your neighbor's brother's cousin who "knows a guy." 📊

Keller ISD is closing 3 schools — while North Texas keeps growing. Here's what's actually going on.

Keller ISD has approved closing three intermediate schools: Bear Creek, Parkwood Hill, and Trinity Meadows. As part of the consolidation, elementary schools will shift to PK–5th grade, and middle schools will move to 6th–8th grade.

Here's the part that surprises most people: population growth in North Texas doesn't mean every district is growing the same way. Keller ISD's enrollment is actually declining — and that's the real story behind these closures.

HIDDEN GEMS: KELLER, TX 📍✨ Ep. 3 — Keller Farmers Market

If you're looking for something to do on a Saturday morning in Keller, this one's it.
(FYI: THIS Saturday (9/19): Family Fun Farm Day at the market, 8am–12pm — even more reason to get out there this week!)

I grabbed my bags expecting a classic farmers market — produce, maybe some flowers. Little did I know. There was produce, sure, but what actually surprised me was everything else: cheesecakes and artisan bread that were already sold out by the time I got there (apparently you have to get here EARLY), empanadas, authentic Mexican street food, and a protein-packed tea stand with flavors like Texas margarita and piña colada. Fueled by love, according to the sign. Same, honestly.

But the real win was the local makers — handmade woodwork, beauty products, specialty foods, press-on nails, you name it. Stuff you're not finding at your regular grocery run. My husband found his new favorite grilling spices. I found approximately eleven things I didn't know I needed.

And honestly? The setting might be the best part. You're under huge mature trees in Bear Creek Park, right next to the creek and walking trails, with playgrounds for the kids and live music playing. Bring the dog — there's a whole treat and bandana stand waiting for them too. 🐾

It doesn't feel like grocery shopping. It feels like a Saturday morning community gathering. Which, at this point, is exactly what I'm looking for as I figure out what actually makes Keller Keller.
