Grateful for Moments of Inspiration
Last week's City Council meeting (4/23/24) was a powerful reminder of the strength within our community and the impact of genuine support. During public comments, I had the privilege of listening to Sally Sergerson, founder of Street Reach for the Homeless, share her unwavering dedication to our unhoused population. Her tireless efforts to provide essentials and support resonated deeply.
Sally's kind words, acknowledging my recent journey and commitment to our city, left me speechless. It's moments like these that fuel my dedication to serving Fort Wayne with grace and resilience. While we may not always have the chance to respond in the moment, please know that your words are heard and cherished.
In my own remarks, I emphasized the importance of unity and collaboration as we welcome Mayor Sharon Tucker's leadership. Together, we will continue to prioritize the needs of our community and work tirelessly towards solutions, especially for those experiencing homelessness.
Thank you, Fort Wayne, for your ongoing support and inspiration. Let's keep moving forward, hand in hand, towards a brighter future for all.
