Beware the ambulance chaser...
You might get a call within hours of your car accident, promising fast treatment if you come into a certain chiropractic clinic.
In Arkansas, that caller is probably breaking the law.
According to Ark. Code Ann. § 17-81-107, chiropractors are legally barred from soliciting accident victims for the first 14 days after a wreck.
Clinics may try to circumvent this law by using a third party to make the calls, but the state created provisions specifically to close that loophole.
Oklahoma doesn't have a law limiting solicitation from chiropractors. It's still a shady move–these chiropractic clinics are using police reports as lead lists.
For them, this is a sales call.
If they design a treatment plan designed to be as expensive as possible, insurance companies will notice--and it will hurt your claim.
Always see your own doctor first. And before you do anything, get in touch with a lawyer.
