Fentanyl overdose deaths are in the rise across Arkansas. State officials say there were over 618 overdose deaths in 2021 for all drugs and about 65% contained fentanyl by itself or in combination with other drugs.

A neighborhood in in Greenwood was evacuated for several hours after a fire got out of control at Fort Chaffee. Fortunately, families were able to return several hours later and no one was hurt.

As of Wednesday morning, officials said the fire is 85% to 90% contained.

A pair if inmates in the Benton County Jail filed a class action lawsuit against the Benton County District Court and one of its judges. The lawsuit claims that the inmates were denied constitutional rights when they attended pre-trial bail hearings without counsel.
