Something meaningful is coming to Tri-State Paralegal Services.

We’re creating a Community Document Assistance Program to offer limited, free legal document preparation to Mohave County residents experiencing financial hardship.

We know important paperwork can feel out of reach when a household budget is already stretched. This is one way we hope to help more of our neighbors move forward.

We’re putting the final details together and will soon share the services included, eligibility guidelines, and how to apply.

⚠️ “I’m a paralegal” does NOT automatically mean “I’m authorized to prepare legal documents for the public.”

Arizona regulates who may independently provide legal document preparation services—and the distinction matters.

✅ Attorneys are licensed to practice law. They may prepare legal documents, evaluate your legal situation, advise you regarding your rights and options, and represent you.

✅ Arizona Certified Legal Document Preparers are specifically authorized to prepare legal documents for self-represented individuals without attorney supervision. We may also provide general legal information.

But there is an important distinction:

Certified Legal Document Preparers are NOT attorneys and cannot give legal advice. We cannot tell you what you should do, evaluate which legal strategy is best for you, or represent you as an attorney would.

❌ Simply being a paralegal, CPA, tax preparer, bookkeeper, notary, or other professional does not by itself authorize someone to independently prepare legal documents for the public. Depending on the services being provided, doing so without the proper authorization may constitute the unauthorized practice of law.

Arizona does have other specifically licensed or authorized legal-service professionals, including Legal Paraprofessionals, whose authority is limited to their licensed scope. The key is that there must be actual authority under Arizona law—not simply experience or a professional title.

Before handing someone your trust, deed, probate documents, divorce paperwork, business documents, or other important legal documents, ask:

A reputable professional should be able to answer that question clearly.

Well… it’s time to share some exciting news about the future of Valley Dental Associates. 💚

After 44 years of caring for the Bullhead City community, Dr. Mark White is beginning the search for the right experienced dentist to continue his legacy and eventually take ownership of Valley Dental Associates.

This is not an associate position and it’s certainly not a rushed transition. We’re looking for someone truly special—an experienced dentist who shares Dr. White’s commitment to exceptional care, relationship-based dentistry, and treating patients like family.

Our hope is to find the right dentist who can work alongside Dr. White during a thoughtful transition, get to know our incredible patients and team, and ultimately step into ownership of the practice he has spent more than four decades building.

This is more common than people realize.

In 2013, Jim Stauffer donated his mother Doris’s body to the Biological Resource Center after she died from Alzheimer’s disease, believing her remains could help doctors and neurologists better understand the illness.

Years later, he learned through a Reuters investigation that her body had instead been sold to the U.S. military and used in a blast experiment designed to study the effects of an IED explosion on the human body.

Stauffer had never consented to military testing. He was later among families who sued the Biological Resource Center over the unauthorized use and sale of donated remains. The case exposed a disturbing body-donation industry in which human remains could be sold and used for purposes families never agreed to.

In 2019, an Arizona jury awarded Stauffer and other families millions of dollars in damages, bringing further attention to the lack of oversight surrounding donated human remains.
