Attorney Fox is licensed to practice law throughout the State of Florida. Attorney Fox has handled cases in Hillsborough County (Tampa area) , Orange County (Orlando area), Duval County (Jacksonsville area), and Indian River County (Vero Beach area) as well as matters in Miami-Dade, Palm Beach and Broward Counties. As a Former Florida Supreme Court Family Mediator, Attorney Fox counsels Clients in
determining the path for their lives after the divorce or paternity issues. Reaching a settlement at Mediation allows the parties to reduce the amount of emotional and financial stress that is part of the litigation process. Being a Family Law Attorney and a Former Family Mediator is beneficial to Attorney Fox in that she is familiar with the law and procedural issues affecting the parties and is capable of assisting those who seek to resolve their matter more amicably than litigation. Attorney Fox also accepts appointment as a Guardian ad Litem (GAL) to represent the interests of children whose parents may be involved in a divorce and/or domestic violence matter. This appointment usually involves the investigation of certain allegations being made by one or both parents, which affect the children. The GAL typically makes recommendations to the court in the form of a Report. A GAL is helpful mainly to the court because there are people and/or information that would not be readily available or accessible to the court and the GAL is able to obtain certain information and to speak with the appropriate people. Under statute, the GAL is allowed to present hearsay evidence, meaning the GAL can state what other people who are not before the court said. This work is satisfying because sometimes people make certain allegations without the ability to properly present them. When the child is protected and/or the truth is determined, justice prevails.
