Every single person and public agency involved let this child down. The prosecutors clearly did not care to pursue a hate crime or a even a reasonable bond. They treated this child as less than. Even the judge was shocked at the ridiculously low bond.

EDUCATIONALLY RELEVANT THERAPY IS A MYTH- IT'S TIME TO BUST THE OCCUPTATIONAL THERAPY MYTH THAT THERE IS AN EXECPTION TO REAL "OT" IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS. HERE IS WHAT THE LAW PROVIDES: 300.34(6) Occupational therapy—
(i) Means services provided by a qualified occupational therapist; and
(ii) Includes—
(A) Improving, developing, or restoring functions impaired or lost through illness, injury, or deprivation;
(B) Improving ability to perform tasks for independent functioning if functions are impaired or lost; and
(C) Preventing, through early intervention, initial or further impairment or loss of function.
*NO MENTION OF THE MADE UP EDUCATIONALLY RELEVANT FANTASY! All meant to prevent students from getting the treatment they need.

Tip of the Month: Neither the school district nor their staff can file a bullying complaint against a parent for raising discrimination allegations. Parents have a federal right to do so. This is called RETALIATION, and it violates your rights under Section 504. It might be a good idea to share this link with your district representatives.
