I found photos of Fort Lauderdale from 1893 to 1960 and restored them.

Swipe in order — you’re watching a trading post on a river become one of the most valuable coastlines in America. That dirt road under the oaks? Las Olas Boulevard. Those empty dredged lots in 1950? Harbor Beach — homes there now trade for $30 million. The bare fairways by the sand ridge? Coral Ridge Country Club.

Everyone talks about the beach. The real story of Fort Lauderdale real estate is dock space.
