We’re happy to announce that we will be sponsoring an event for the Fort Kent Elementary School PTO! Please stop by FKES on Friday, 8/26, between 5:30-7pm for an ice cream social.

With five flavors of ice cream to choose from: vanilla, chocolate, strawberry, coffee oreo, and sea salt caramel-all made by Goughan’s Berry Farm in Caribou, there will be something for everyone. Cost is $3 per person, $15 max for families. There will be games and a bounce house as well! Proceeds from this event will go to the playground fund.

After ice cream, there will be a showing of The Princess Bride in the FKES gym. All for three dollars!!!!

I manage disagreements (and sometimes agreements) for a living. Before committing to a fight, take a breath and see if you can articulate exactly what you want and how that differs from what the "other person" wants. Often folks fight over their perception of the other's wants and needs, as opposed to the other person's actual wants and needs.

If you need help with that process, call. It can save a lot of money and hard feelings down the road. The best results aren't handed down from the bench by a judge, they are resolved between people committed to working through problems, toward a solution.
