CCJ attended the GST Michigan Works! and Ruth Mott Foundation Legal Resource Fair today at the Flint Service Center. The event offered community education and sign-up opportunities for expungement, property taxes, unemployment appeals, child support, and more.

CCJ’s Health Advocate, Lina Carvajal, was also on hand to help attendees apply for public benefits and navigate the process of maintaining their existing benefits. We were glad to be part of an event that connected community members with information, resources, and assistance.

CCJ asistió hoy a la Feria de Recursos Legales de GST Michigan Works! y la Fundación Ruth Mott en el Centro de Servicios de Flint. El evento ofreció información a la comunidad y oportunidades de inscripción para la eliminación de antecedentes penales, impuestos a la propiedad, apelaciones por desempleo, manutención infantil y más.

Lina Carvajal, defensora de la salud de CCJ, también estuvo presente para ayudar a los asistentes a solicitar beneficios públicos y a gestionar el mantenimiento de sus beneficios actuales. CCJ attended the Genesee County Sheriff’s Office SECOND CHANCE Resource Expo yesterday. Several community organizations came together to offer resources and connect with members of the community.

The event was held on the front lawn of the Sheriff’s Office and provided a great opportunity to share information about available services and support.

Thank you, Sheriff Swanson, for hosting this important event and bringing community organizations together!

CCJ asistió ayer a la Feria de Recursos SEGUNDA OPORTUNIDAD de la Oficina del Sheriff del Condado de Genesee. Varias organizaciones comunitarias se unieron para ofrecer recursos y conectar con los miembros de la comunidad.

El evento se llevó a cabo en el jardín delantero de la Oficina del Sheriff y brindó una excelente oportunidad para compartir información sobre los servicios y el apoyo disponibles.

Our Executive Director, Kelly Bidelman, attended the Armed Forces Resource Rally on Saturday at Elms Park. 🇺🇸

The event was well attended and provided Veterans and their families with valuable resources, delicious food, live music, and a stunning flyover in honor of those who have served our country.

We’re grateful for the opportunity to be part of an event that celebrates and supports our Veterans! ❤️.

CCJ’s Health Advocate, Lina, was recognized by Samaritas with the Making a Difference Superhero Award for the incredible work she does and the support she provides to our Latino immigrant community.

This award is a wonderful reflection of Lina’s dedication, compassion, and commitment to helping others. We are so proud to have her on the CCJ team and even prouder to see her recognized by the community she serves.

CCJ Hosts Successful 50/50 Raffle at Market Tap
The Center for Civil Justice recently held another successful 50/50 Raffle at the Market Tap, and we are so grateful to everyone who came out, joined us, and purchased tickets in support of our mission!

It was a wonderful evening filled with great company, music, and support for the important work CCJ does to fight poverty through advocacy.

Thank you to everyone who attended and helped make the evening a success. Your support makes a difference and helps CCJ continue fighting for seniors, children, people with disabilities, and working families.

We couldn’t do this without you!
