Not sure if it's serious enough? If it matters to you, it matters.

This , remember - your feelings don't need to be "serious enough" to deserve care. You deserve support, always. ๐Ÿ’š

The Michigan Youth Challenge Academy (MYCA) is a Free Program for Youth Ages 15 1/2 Through 18* that has helped thousands of young adults get back on track and see their full potential!

This free program offers males and females ages 15 1/2 through 18* an opportunity to graduate high school and realize positive life changes through an intensive five and a half month residential and 12-month post-residential program. In addition to academics, many other areas are developed, including leadership, job skills, physical fitness, life coping skills, service to community and more!

The Michigan Youth Challenge Academy is a program of the National Guard and is FREE to parents. It offers programing in a military-like, structured environment without distractions. There is no obligation for youth to enter the military upon completion.

Cycles begin mid-January and mid-July of each year.
The application process starts in the 4-5 months before the start of each cycle.

The Hope Not Handcuffs team outdid themselves in April. In addition to connecting ๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿญ people to treatment for their substance use disorder, the Call Center also answered ๐Ÿฏ,๐Ÿฑ๐Ÿฎ๐Ÿฎ callsโ€”an average of ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿณ per day.

To the men and women who reached out to us last month: we're so proud of you for taking the first step and wish you nothing but success on your recovery journeys. ๐Ÿฉต

Thank you to volunteer Angel Haley K. for her help this month. And kudos to the many law enforcement agencies and community partners who collaborated with us Teamwork makes the dream work and we appreciate you! ๐Ÿ‘ฎ

I always enjoy the annual MATCP conference because I get to spend 3 days with like-minded people that are all pulling in the same direction! Treatment court work is not easy, but it changes lives.
