I travel a lot. Between the volunteering I do around and for the legal community, traveling for clients, traveling for networking, and then (the fun one) traveling for fun - I'm always on the go.

Death could find me at any of these times and locations. But sometimes there are situations and upcoming travel that just makes you stop and realize that your documents are not reflective of your current wishes.

With my next epic trip happening this week, both Justin and I have just completed the revisions to our Will. Should something happen to us, the next steps are in order and current.

The last update was done in July 2023. It's only been three years, but much has changed.

Selling real estate through probate is NOT the same thing as a person selling their own home. My job as an attorney for an Executor/Estate is to give them the tools - including recommendations relating to agents that I personally know their skills and abilities to sell property in these situations.

Clients never have to listen to me with my recommendations or advice. That is always their own choice. What is at stake is potential future liability if anything goes wrong with the transaction.
