After more than 22 years as an attorney, I’ve noticed something.
The people who experience the greatest glow up aren’t the ones who spend years trying to figure out who was right or who was wrong.
They’re the ones willing to do the postmortem.
Not on their former spouse.
On the relationship itself.
They examine what worked, what didn’t, what they ignored, and what they’ll never compromise again.
A postmortem isn’t about living in the past.
It’s about making sure you don’t repeat it.
That’s where the glow up begins.
Not on the day the judge signs the judgment.
On the day you stop trying to resurrect what has already ended and start building the life waiting on the other side.
