Today, the Washington County Prosecutor’s Office was honored to see Arlene Pena, a victim witness coordinator with the office, receive the Justice for Victims award from the Arkansas Prosecuting Attorney’s Association. Victim witness coordinators play a vital role for prosecutors, serving as the liaison between victims of crime and the legal system, a process that can often be overwhelming. This office is privileged to have one of the very best victim witness teams in the State of Arkansas, and Arlene recently distinguished herself with her exceptional efforts in a challenging homicide case prosecuted by DPA Whitney Doolittle. In a job that often goes unacknowledged - thank you, Arlene, for your dedication to the victims for whom this office pursues justice every day!
