For me, it’s the impact. Witnessing a student realize the significance of her ideas or a STEM professional discovering a career path they never imagined.

At the age of twenty, I became a mother, earned three degrees as a first-generation graduate, and joined a profession where fewer than 2% of patent attorneys are Black.

Despite these challenges, I wasn’t discouraged; I was clarified.

I’ve learned that obstacles are merely pauses, not the end.
