Honored to Serve the Georgia Prison Wardens’ Association
This week, I had the privilege of attending the 2026 Georgia Prison Wardens’ Association Leadership and Training Conference at beautiful Lake Lanier Islands. As General Counsel for the Association, I am continually reminded of the professionalism, dedication, and commitment demonstrated by Georgia’s correctional leaders.
Our wardens and correctional executives face extraordinary challenges every day. They are responsible not only for the safe and secure operation of our correctional institutions, but also for the development of future leaders, the protection of staff, and the successful management of complex organizations that play a critical role in public safety.
I am grateful for the opportunity to work alongside the outstanding members of the Georgia Prison Wardens’ Association as we continue to strengthen our profession through education, leadership development, mentorship, and collaboration.
One of the accomplishments I am most proud of is the Association’s continued commitment to supporting our membership through scholarship opportunities, advanced training programs, professional development initiatives, and mentoring relationships that help prepare the next generation of correctional leaders. Investing in our people is investing in the future of corrections in Georgia.
The conference provided an excellent opportunity for members to exchange ideas, discuss emerging challenges, learn from industry experts, and build the professional relationships that make our correctional community stronger.
Thank you to the Association’s leadership, board members, sponsors, and partners whose support makes these programs possible. Together, we are helping develop capable, ethical, and effective leaders who will continue to serve the citizens of Georgia with honor and distinction.
I look forward to continuing our mission of supporting correctional professionals, promoting excellence in leadership, and advancing the profession through education, mentorship, and service.
