Starting July 1, 2025, recording fees for certain documents in Connecticut will increase:

🔹 Non-MERS Documents (like deeds and mortgages):
Fee for the first page increases by $10, from $60 to $70.

🔹 MERS Assignments/Releases:
Fee increases by $1, from $159 to $160.

These changes may impact closing cost estimates and pre-collected checks. We recommend preparing accordingly to avoid delays or funding issues.
