🗽 From ICE detention to freedom and safety: A massive victory for our client!

In March 2026, our client’s life was turned upside down. Despite having a pending asylum application, valid work authorization, and doing absolutely nothing wrong, he was suddenly detained by ICE.

We immediately went to work. Fighting an immigration case from inside a detention center is incredibly difficult, but we refused to back down, AND WE WON. 🏛️⚖️

Just two weeks after his asylum was granted, we secured his release from custody, despite DHS’s threats to appeal. Today, he is officially an asylee, his removal proceedings are completely closed, and he can finally start building his life in the United States without fear. 🕊️

🚨 SUCCESS STORY: Client Released After 6 Months in ICE Detention! 🚨

The immigration system can be an uphill battle, but we never back down from a fight. Recently, we represented a client who spent a grueling six months in ICE detention. When the immigration court outright refused jurisdiction over a bond hearing, we took aggressive legal action and filed a federal habeas petition just to force the court to do its job and schedule the hearing.

After fighting tooth and nail just to get in front of a judge, we faced a heartbreaking setback: bond was denied.

But giving up was never an option. We immediately pivoted and built a comprehensive EOIR-42B application for Cancellation of Removal, prepared tirelessly for the individual hearing, and fought to prove exactly why our client deserved to remain in the United States.

As America celebrates its 250th birthday, we reflect not only on the ideals expressed in the Declaration of Independence but also on the people who have helped turn those ideals into reality.

Figures such as Alexander Hamilton, who was born in the Caribbean and James Wilson, who immigrated from Scotland, played pivotal roles in shaping the Constitution and the institutions that continue to guide our nation today.

For 250 years, people from every corner of the world have come to America seeking freedom, opportunity, and the chance to build a better future. They have served in our armed forces, built businesses, advanced science and medicine, enriched our culture, and strengthened our communities. Generation after generation, often in the face of extraordinary challenges, immigrants have helped write the American story.

The promise of this nation has never been defined by where someone began their journey but by the shared belief that liberty, hard work, and opportunity can build a stronger future for everyone.
