Home buyers. You should always get a home inspection. In highly competitive bids, some buyers do not make a home inspection as a contingency for the contract. If you decide to take this risk, then you should still get a home inspection for "information purposes"so you will know what your are getting into.

One thing you should not do when buying a home is skip having the home inspected because of cost or undue pressure by the seller. A home inspection is reasonable, it can save you money in the long run, and it's required by many lenders, particularly for FHA loans.

This is an excellent checklist that every homebuyer should consider when seeking a home.
