Manchin graduated from the WVU College of Law in 1980 and began practicing law with the law firm of Sanders & Austin in Princeton, WV, for a period of three years. He then moved back to Fairmont, WV, where he and cousin Michael Aloi established Manchin & Aloi. In 2011, Timothy established the Manchin Injury Law Group. He has been an active member in the American Association of Justice since 1983 a
nd served as president of the West Virginia Association of Justice in 2000/2001. Additionally, he currently serves as a West Virginia delegate to the American Association for Justice. He is also currently a member of the West Virginia House of Delegates, representing the 43rd District. Tim practices primarily in the area of personal injury litigation, including medical malpractice and products liability. He has successfully prosecuted death claims against multi-national companies such as Johnson Controls and John Deere. Downs graduated from the WVU College of Law in 2011 and began practicing law with the Manchin Injury Law Group in August 2011. While in law school, Taylor was a member of the WVU College of Law Moot Court Board, drafted and introduced HB3015, the Healthy and Safe Workplace Act, in the West Virginia House of Delegates, successfully competed in appellate advocacy competitions in Morgantown, WV, and New York City, NY, organized the inaugural National Energy and Sustainability Moot Court Competition at the WVU College of Law, was president of the Democratic Law Caucus, and was honored by the WVU College of Law as a student of academic excellence. Additionally, Taylor was involved in the College of Law's Legal Clinic, where he helped clients with little means have access to justice. Taylor is a member of the West Virginia Association for Justice, the American Association for Justice, the American Bar Association, and is a state coordinator for the Healthy and Safe Workplace Initiative. from the WVU College of Law, Taylor graduated magna cm laude from Shepherd University with a B.S. degree in political science and a B.A. degree in History. Taylor practices primarily in the ares of personal injury litigation, including medical malpractice, products liability, and wrongful death. Taylor is admitted to practice to the West Virginia State Bar and the Southern District of West Virginia.
