❤️ Who makes your life better just by being in it?

Last night, I had dinner with friends who are in town for the real estate convention, and I left reminded of what a gift true friendship is.

The laughter came easily. The conversation was effortless. The care was genuine.

Good friends celebrate the wins, walk with us through hard seasons, tell us the truth with love, and simply show up.

But friendships need attention.
It’s easy for “Let’s get together soon” to turn into months without a conversation.

So today, I’m reminding myself to make the call, send the text, plan the dinner, and tell people what they mean to me.

God often uses friendship to encourage us, strengthen us, and remind us we don’t have to do life alone.

📊 Same county. Six very different real estate stories.
One thing I love about Baldwin County real estate is that every market has its own personality.
September proves it.

Fairhope, Daphne, Foley, Spanish Fort, Loxley, Gulf Shores and Orange Beach are all moving differently right now. Some are faster, some are slower, and the price points vary dramatically.

That is why I never put much faith in a broad headline that says “the market is up” or “the market is down.”

The better question is: what is happening where you are?

September’s Baldwin County numbers tell an interesting story.

Fewer homes sold than last year, average days on market increased, and we saw 673 price drops in one month. At the same time, the average sold price was higher.

That tells me this is not a simple “good market” or “bad market.”
It is a strategy market.

Buyers have more room to negotiate. Sellers need to price carefully. Investors need to look closely at where opportunity is starting to show up.

🏈 Stop Watching the Scoreboard. Focus on the Next Play.

Good morning, friends.
After preparing for the storm last Friday, I finally sat down and watched the Saban documentary. I highly recommend it.
There were a lot of great lessons in it, but one idea has stayed with me:
Do the right thing, the right way, one play at a time.
That’s what Saban calls “the Process.”

And the more I thought about it, the more I realized how much that applies to everyday life.
How often do I spend too much time worrying about the outcome instead of focusing on what I can actually do today?

In business, it’s serving the next person well.
At home, it’s being present, listening, and keeping my word.
In faith, it’s trusting God and taking the next faithful step.
I think a lot of us want to see the whole plan.
We want certainty.
We want to know how it all turns out.
But most days, we’re simply called to be faithful with what’s right in front of us.

So my reminder to myself today is simple:
📞 Make the call.
🤝 Keep the promise.
🙏 Say the prayer.
❤️ Offer the apology.
💬 Encourage someone.

Trust God with the outcome.
Be faithful with the next step.
