Once a car has been involved in a collision, its value drops. Even after the vehicle is repaired, it's usually worth considerably less than it was prior to the wreck.
The difference is called "diminished value," and it can pose a headache for car accident victims. Thankfully, those who are familiar with the way insurance companies handle diminished value claims are often able to secure compensation for the additional loss.

One of the most common questions asked by those who have lost a loved one due to the negligence of others is, “What are the recoverable damages in a wrongful death lawsuit?”
Here are some answers👇
On November 2, Governor Northam announced the recipients of the 2020 Volunteerism and Community Service Awards. These awards are given annually to recognize individuals and organizations that have made a significant and measurable difference in the Commonwealth through exemplary service and volunteering.
We are pleased and honored to announce that this year's award recipient for Outstanding Senior Volunteer is Edward L. Weiner, Esq. of Weiner Spivey & Miller, PLC. As a volunteer, director, and president of both the Fairfax Bar Association (2013-14) and the Fairfax Law Foundation (2006-07), Ed dedicated himself to ensure the success of the bar and its charitable foundation. Ed has served the Commonwealth and his local community as a champion of access to justice for all for over 20 years. In 2001, he created the wildly popular, award-winning Jazz4Justice concert, which has raised over $500,000 for music scholarships at George Mason University and an additional $500,000 to support legal aid. Jazz4Justice has been replicated throughout Virginia and has inspired similar events across the country.
Ed's demonstrated dedication and service to his community make him truly deserving of a 2020 Virginia Governor's Volunteerism & Community Service Award.

Happy Law Day!
Law Day is an annual event that originated in 1957 when the American Bar Association President envisioned a special day to commemorate our legal system.
The following year, President Eisenhower formally established Law Day by issuing a Presidential Proclamation and starting a Presidential tradition.
Each year the current President of the United States issues a proclamation focusing on the law which are printed in the Federal Register (and can be found
https://www.loc.gov/law/help/commemorative-observations/law-day.php).
Every Law Day has a different theme and this year’s timely theme is “Your Vote, Your Voice, Our Democracy: The 19th Amendment at 100.”
We, along with the American Bar Association, are commemorating the centennial of the transformative constitutional amendment that guaranteed the right of citizens to vote would not be denied or abridged by the United States or any state on account of s*x. American women fought for, and won, the vote through their voice and action.
We will greatly miss celebrating with our friends at Weiner Spivey & Miller, PLC
for their annual Weiner Roast. In addition to being a wonderful and fun event, the Law Day Weiner Roast is also an important annual fundraiser for the
Fairfax Law Foundation. We encourage all of our friends and colleagues to make a donation to the Foundation, which is an organization that helps to make the ideals of Law Day a reality for our local community.
