Reese also serves as a Neutral Case Evaluator by appointment of the 19th Judicial Circuit and a Virginia State Bar Certified Family Mediator. Hissong was admitted to the practice of law in the Commonwealth of Virginia in 1999 and to the United States District Court of the Eastern District of Virginia in 2007.
