GLG is proud to partner with Arlington Economic Development in support of the 2026 Arlington Growth Accelerator! 🚀

This selective, cohort-based program brings together established Arlington businesses that are ready to grow, giving owners the opportunity to develop a four-year growth plan with expert guidance, peer input, and one-on-one mentorship.

As part of our involvement, Tammy Hui, Partner and Chair of GLG’s Business Law Practice, will serve as a resource to the participating business owners as they work through the decisions that come with growth. Tammy will also offer complimentary one-on-one consultations to cohort members, giving them an opportunity to talk through legal considerations specific to their business plans.

Programs like the Growth Accelerator give business owners access to the people and resources that can help them turn their plans into action, and we’re excited to be part of it!

Last week, Rebecca Geller brought Legal Adulting to the Wireless Infrastructure Association in Arlington for a hybrid workshop with their team!

Rebecca led an interactive conversation about wills, trusts, powers of attorney, medical directives, and the legal documents that help protect you and the people you love.

One of the things Rebecca loves most about these workshops is taking topics that can feel intimidating or easy to put off and making them approachable, practical, and even fun.

Please join us in welcoming Laura Johnson to The Geller Law Group! 👋

Laura has joined our Estate Planning Practice Group as a Legal Assistant, working closely with our attorneys, staff, and clients to help keep matters organized and moving forward.

She brings several years of legal and operational experience to GLG, spanning estate planning, probate, real estate, litigation, corporate law, and business administration. Laura has a strong foundation in managing active matters, keeping deadlines on track, and communicating with attorneys and clients.

Laura earned her degree in English from the University of Mississippi, with an emphasis in Creative Writing and a minor in History. She also hopes to pursue her J.D. in the future, with an interest in estate planning and international tax law.

Outside of work, Laura enjoys traveling, painting, playing rugby and snowboarding. She also challenges herself to learn at least one new skill or hobby every year — we’re looking forward to finding out what she takes on next!

Today is National Working Parents Day — something we know a little about around here…

More than a decade ago, The New York Times spent several days with our team to see what life at a law firm built around working parents actually looked like.

Reporters joined us at work and at home — even tagging along for school drop-offs and pediatrician appointments — before featuring GLG on the front page of its Sunday Business section.

The story was titled “A Woman-Led Law Firm That Lets Partners Be Parents.” And the photo they chose showed Managing Partner Maria Simon dropping off her 4-year-old son at preschool before heading to work.

A lot has changed since that story ran. Our team has grown tremendously. Those preschoolers have grown up. But the idea behind the story hasn't changed.

GLG was built on the belief that talented professionals shouldn't have to choose between being successful in their careers and being present for the people they love.

Flexible schedules, remote work, school drop-offs, playdates, doctor's appointments, caregiving responsibilities — they're part of life, and we've always believed there should be room for them in a successful career.

That philosophy has been part of the firm from the beginning.

So today, on National Working Parents Day, we're celebrating all the parents and caregivers who make it work every day — building careers, caring for their families, and managing everything in between.

Today is National Voter Registration Day — a holiday dedicated to making sure every eligible voter has the opportunity to make their voice heard at the ballot box.

Since National Voter Registration Day began in 2012, more than 6.5 million Americans have registered to vote through the effort. But registering is only part of being election-ready.

Every year, we honor September 11 by giving back.

In the days following 9/11, people came together to help neighbors, support their communities, and serve one another.

The 9/11 National Day of Service and Remembrance carries that spirit forward, and it’s a tradition that holds special meaning for our team.

On September 29, The Geller Law Group will close our office for the day and return to the Lorton Community Action Center (LCAC), where our team will volunteer together to support local families in need.

We’ll also donate the supplies needed to assemble hundreds of diaper packets and snack packs during our day of service.

For us, remembering 9/11 means honoring those we lost, recognizing those who served and sacrificed, and finding a meaningful way to serve others in their memory.

We will never forget. And we will continue to give.
