We’re proud to celebrate Patent Pathways® (a 501(c)(3) organization) participant Paroma Mukhopadhyay on passing the patent bar.

Paroma shared:

“I am thankful for the support from Patent Pathways® and Harrity & Harrity LLP. Because of them, I belonged to a talented cohort, participated in classes on a weekly basis, accessed PLI resources for free, and built relationships with mentors.

In May 2026, I took and passed the patent bar, the first exam I had taken in 4 years since graduating from college. I was intimidated by the thought of completing a 6-hour exam, but passing the patent bar felt more attainable through the support of the Patent Pathways® community.”

Paroma is a former USPTO Patent Examiner who holds both a B.S. and M.S.E. in Biomedical Engineering from Johns Hopkins University. She currently works part-time at Handshake AI Solutions, performing data annotation.

Her success demonstrates the impact of mentorship, preparation, and community support in helping aspiring patent professionals achieve their goals. We are honored to have been part of her journey and look forward to seeing what comes next.

Congratulations, Paroma, on this incredible accomplishment!

One concern comes up in almost every conversation we have about AI in patent prosecution: trust.

Practitioners don't want to spend more time reviewing AI output than they would spend doing the work themselves.

They don't want to rewrite claims after generation. They don't want to verify every sentence. And they certainly don't want to introduce risk into the prosecution process.

That's why some of the most encouraging feedback we've received about Pioneer has been surprisingly simple:

"It doesn't require babysitting."

"It fits the way we already work."

"It produces output we can actually use."

Technology should reduce friction, not create new layers of review. That's the standard practitioners are increasingly expecting—and rightly so.

Your prosecution metrics tell a story. Are you reading it?

Allowance rates, RCE frequency, and pendency can reveal meaningful differences between outside counsel. With apples-to-apples benchmarking tailored to your technology, it's easier to identify what's working, optimize workflows, and maximize the value of your prosecution spend.

Just over a month ago, we formally launched the technology we've been building inside Harrity for years.

The response has exceeded our expectations.

Over the last several weeks, we've spoken with law firms, corporate IP departments, and patent professionals across the industry. What has stood out most isn't the volume of conversations—it's the consistency.

Across firms of different sizes and organizations with very different portfolios, many of the same challenges keep coming up: maintaining quality at scale, reducing administrative burden, improving access to portfolio intelligence, and finding practical ways to incorporate AI into prosecution workflows.

Those conversations have been invaluable.

To everyone who has taken a meeting, shared feedback, or challenged us with tough questions—thank you. We appreciate the opportunity to learn from practitioners who are thinking deeply about the future of patent practice.

Most patent software is built for patent practitioners.

Our technology was built by patent practitioners.

That distinction matters.

For decades, Harrity has been focused on one thing: delivering exceptional patent prosecution. Along the way, we've grown to 63 practitioners, developed industry-leading training programs, refined thousands of prosecution workflows, and built systems designed to drive quality, consistency, and efficiency at scale.

The technology came later.

It emerged from years of solving real problems inside a practice that handles patent prosecution every day.

When your starting point is the work itself, the result is different. The workflows fit. The outputs make sense. The technology supports practitioners instead of forcing practitioners to adapt to the technology.

We believe that's one reason these tools are resonating with the market.

We’re proud to celebrate Shibley Ali, the first Patent Pathways® February 2026 cohort participant to pass the patent bar.

Shibley shared:

“Passing the patent bar has been one of my biggest professional goals, and Patent Pathways® was truly instrumental in helping me achieve it. The program provided me with the resources and preparation that gave me the confidence I needed to walk into that exam ready to succeed. I am sincerely grateful for everything Patent Pathways® offered me, from the curriculum and study materials to the mentorship and encouragement that kept me going throughout the process. I also want to express my deepest gratitude to Harrity & Harrity LLP and the entire Patent Pathways® community, whose support and dedication to this program made all of this possible for me. I am so excited for what lies ahead and cannot wait to see where this next chapter takes me.”

Shibley holds an M.S. in Biomedical Innovation and Development from Georgia Tech and currently serves as a Licensing Associate at Penn State University’s Office of Technology Transfer, where he helps manage a portfolio of engineering and materials science technologies.

His achievement marks an exciting milestone for the February 2026 cohort and reflects what is possible when aspiring patent professionals have access to the right resources, mentorship, and community.

Congratulations, Shibley!

A patent application still starts with a blank page. A prosecution strategy still depends on an attorney who understands the art. A portfolio decision still requires someone who knows what the claims actually cover.

AI doesn't change any of that. What it should change is how much time practitioners spend on the work that doesn't require their judgment — repetitive drafting, manual portfolio review, rebuilding competitive context from scratch every time a client asks a question.

That's the operational reality Harrity's AI Patent Suite™ was built around. Not a general productivity tool retrofitted for patent work — a suite developed inside a practicing firm, refined through thousands of real matters, and designed around the specific mechanics of drafting, prosecution, portfolio intelligence, and competitive analysis.

Modern patent practice still requires great attorneys. It shouldn't also require them to do everything manually.
