It was a privilege to attend and present at the Christian Legal Society National Conference on the Fifth Commandment in relation to Estate Planning this weekend! I met so many amazing lawyers who are doing groundbreaking things across the country. It was also encouraging to listen to keynotes delivered by Rebecca McLaughlin and Os Guinness. Looking forward to the next one!

I had a fantastic time representing Christian Legal Aid of the District of Columbia at the Estate Planning and Legal Clinic: Building Your Legacy event last night! I greatly enjoyed co-presenting with Murray Scheel of the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center and Elizabeth Noel of Legal Counsel for the Elderly at this event. Glad we could empower the residents of our community to take control of their future planning!

The first-ever “Securing Your Legacy” event hosted by DC Affordable Law Firm, the Hill East Civic Association, Christian Legal Aid of DC, Legal Counsel for the Elderly, Legal Aid DC, D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center, the DC Bar Foundation and other DC community partners was a tremendous success! We served close to sixty residents across the day, conducting intakes, property “check-ups,” and offering invaluable practical, accessible education on estate planning, probate, tax, and foreclosure issues over the course of our four-hour event!

Personally, it was a pleasure to have the opportunity to present on "Basic Future Estate Planning Tools & Probate" with Murray Scheel, the Managing Attorney for the Future Planning & Probate Program at the D.C. Bar Pro Bono Center. Excited to be able to give back to our community in such a tangible way!
