The award is fantastic, but the positive impact of neighbors knowing each other is hard to measure. That is what makes Excelsior Springs the place where you want to live, work and play!

👋 Meet our building neighbor, Clint Hilton!

We love getting to know the people who make our building and community a great place to be! Today, we’re introducing Clint Hilton with Shelter Insurance. He has been in the building with us for over 15 years! We have shared a lot of life and memories with him next door to us.

Clint holds many of our own personal insurance policies and we feel good knowing he cares about us. 🥰

Over the next couple of weeks, we’re asking our parents, staff, and community to share their perspective on the Excelsior Springs School District.

Some randomly selected households will receive a phone call from Market Research Associates. At the same time, we are opening online surveys so parents, staff, and community members all have an opportunity to participate.

This feedback matters. We use it to better understand what our community believes we are doing well, where we have opportunities to improve, and what should help guide our priorities and decisions moving forward.

Turns out, we were remembering who we are. ❤️

We barely made it through the list of things we planned to film.

And somehow… we got exactly what we needed.

We wandered through The Elms. Found quiet little places we’d forgotten about. Decorated porches. Cheers’d w**e. Ate lunch at a longtime favorite. Laughed. Probably embarrassed Jake a few times. 😂

But somewhere in between all of that, we remembered how much we genuinely love this town.

Life has seasons.

And when you’re part of a third-generation family business — with a fourth generation starting to peek around the corner — it’s really easy to get busy going in every direction.

We’re Realtors. Business owners. Leaders. Parents. Family.

And over the years we’ve weathered storms. Loss. Change. Transitions. Growing pains.

And now apparently… teenagers. 😂

There has been so much good and some really hard stuff mixed in along the way.

But this season feels right.

Like the right place.
The right time.
The right people.
And maybe a little reminder to get back to the heart of who we are, why we’re here and what we actually want all of this to mean.

We don’t want this page to simply show you houses.

We want to show you HOME.

The people. The places. The businesses. The traditions. The quiet corners. The meals we’ve eaten a hundred times. The places we go when we need an hour to ourselves. The things that make us laugh. And all the little reasons we’ve chosen to build our lives here.

Because WE are family.

WE love this town.

And we’re ready to start sharing a whole lot more of its shine. ❤️

Maybe that’s what this next season is about.

Seeing the good. Being the light. And enjoying the ride.

It’s the little things that make Excelsior Springs feel like home.

The way downtown comes alive in the mornings. The familiar faces you run into walking down Broadway. Local shops, historic buildings, a coffee in hand, and the kind of community where people still stop to say hello.

We love the character of our streets, the history around every corner, and the way our community continues to grow while still holding onto what makes it special.
