Running a real estate business takes a team. Mine sheds. 🐾

They work for treats, they've never once closed a deal, and at least one of them is probably chewing something he shouldn't be right now.

Real estate is my job, but these four are my people. Every one of them was adopted, and each one came with a story. Some of them have very impressive résumés. Two of them turned out to be not at all who I thought they were.

October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month, so it felt like the perfect time to introduce you to the staff. Every week I'll share one of their stories, starting with the one who started it all.

It's almost time for one of my favorite weeks of the year — the West Side Nut Club Fall Festival, October 5–10 on Franklin Street! This thing is a big deal: four years running as USA Today's #1 Fall Festival in America, over 200,000 visitors, 137+ food booths, and proceeds that go right back into our local schools and charities. It's been an Evansville tradition since 1921, and if you haven't been, you really need to go.

I just found out they released an official festival app this year, with a Munchie Map built right in — so you can plan your stops before you even get there (trust me, you'll want a game plan with that many food booths).
