As of this morning, reporting requirements under the Corporate Transparency Act are again on hold. I would recommend being prepared to file quickly in the event the Federal Court reinstates the requirement.

The Fifth Circuit has vacated their own order staying the preliminary injunction in the Texas Top Cop Shop v Garland case on the Corporate Transparency Act.

As an update, our office is now fully functional. We plan to hit the ground running and resume business as normal starting Monday, October 7th.

An unfortunate truth from the aftermath of Hurricane Helene is that people have been injured and lives lost. Businesses have also been affected greatly, which may lead to contract disputes.

My wife poured her heart and soul into her business. I witnessed first hand her strength and consistency each and every day. What is tort reform?

Tort reform, in a general sense, is a series of state laws passed that make filing lawsuits more difficult in injury cases and puts a cap on the damages that can be awarded.

Georgia’s legislative leaders have made it a priority heading in to the 2025 legislative session.

Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp says he wants to make it harder for people to file lawsuits and win big legal judgments.

One of these photos shows a wreck where the victim received $425,000 in compensation, and one shows a victim that will get $0. Can you guess which one?

The victim in the left photo got $425,000 in compensation. The one on the right will get $0.

Why?

The photo on the left shows a wreck where the driver had $300,000 of UIM coverage and $25,000 of medical payments coverage. (The at fault driver had $100,000 of liability coverage)

The photo on the right shows a wreck where the at-fault driver was not insured and the victim had no Underinsured Motorist Coverage.

Make sure you have UIM coverage in your policy.
