Important Legal Notice regarding Changes in California’s Wrongful Death Laws

If you or someone you know has lost a loved one, it is IMPERATIVE that you speak to a lawyer as soon as possible so that a lawsuit can be filed before the end of this year. While there is generally a two-year statute of limitations (deadline) to file a personal injury or wrongful death claim against private parties or entities, the sunset date on CCP Section 377.34 has not yet been extended. Therefore, as of now, unless your wrongful death and survivorship action case is filed before December 31, 2025, you will lose the ability to collect valuable pre-death pain and suffering suffering.

May is National Bike Month and Bike Month Humboldt is again organizing Bike Month events in Humboldt County. The Bike Month Challenge lasts all month and on May 31, 2025, the Bike Celebration Fair will be held at the Jefferson Community Park in Eureka from 11am to 2pm for the community to gather and appreciate all of the benefits that cycling brings to the community.
