Went to tonight’s Engage Estero and East Corkscrew Alliance meeting at Fire Station 45.
Full room. Survey results, school plans for Kingston, and what is coming along East Corkscrew.
A few things that stood out: • Residents flagged healthcare, parks, and more local retail • Corkscrew widening, streetlights, paths, and new signals are still the traffic story • True North presented an 80-acre K-12 campus in Kingston, opening fall 2028 with pre-K through 2nd, growing into high school • Lee County Schools superintendent Denise Carlin talked school choice in the East Corkscrew zone • Kingston commercial plans on Corkscrew and SR 82 were also on the screen
The meeting was at capacity. Engage Estero recorded it and said the video will go on their YouTube.
This is what was in the room if you live out this corridor.
