✨ Happy Mercy Day ✨

On September 24, 1827, Catherine McAuley opened the front door of the newly built House of Mercy on Baggot Street in Dublin, Ireland. From that simple act of welcome began a legacy of compassion, service, and empowerment carried forward by the Sisters of Mercy.

At the Mercy Center for Women, we are honored to continue this mission—providing hope, housing, and healing to women and families in our community. Catherine’s vision continues to inspire everything we do.

If you are receiving your stimulus check via direct deposit to your bank account and a creditor has a judgment against you, that creditor may be able to freeze your bank account to garnish the funds. Filing bankruptcy shortly after the freeze takes place will require that the creditor release the funds. Call or message my office if you have questions about your particular situation.

If you’re worried about private debt collection, take the money out right away.
