“Bar Style” stands for the level of writing and analysis which is expected from a CA Bar applicant. The CA Bar Examiners are known to be looking for a particular analysis and style of writing that is distinct from your law school exams and essays. You will have three hours to complete three essays on both Tuesday and Thursday morning, each of which will be filled with complex legal issues and some essays will also overlap with multiple areas of law. Thus, as a bar taker, you will need to know how to deliver, in a timely fashion, an organized analysis that illustrates your knowledge of the law and it’s application to all of the facts presented. You will also need to know how to organize your essay with the proper headings and writing styles that the Examiners are looking for.
