Following the example of the Encinitas 101 Main Street, and 1700 other Main Street programs nationwide, the Leucadia 101 Main Street was founded in 2003. We work in community partnership with residents, business owners, property owners, the City of Encinitas, the County of San Diego, NCTD, and various stakeholders located within the community towards the improvement of the North Hwy 101 corridor.
Vision:
The Leucadia North Coast Highway 101 Corridor will be the lifeblood of a thriving and diverse community that lives its unique sense of history and artistry in the context of a visually appealing natural landscape, which showcases an easily accessible, safe, balanced mix of uses integrating residential, office, retail, entertainment, dining, and civic/cultural activities. Mission:
To support the Historic Leucadia North Coast Highway 101 Corridor by enhancing its economic and civic vitality, which includes promotion and marketing its vision, fostering partnerships, retail development and a ‘sense of place’ while acting as the lead advocate for its historic preservation and community cultivation through the engagement of all its citizens. The North Coast 101 Corridor includes approximately 225 unique businesses and property owners in the Project Area. The Leucadia 101 Main Street is a Non-Profit organization run by a 15 person board of directors and their full time Executive Director.
