The Nassau County Bar Association () invites you to a FREE Family Workshop for Children with Special Needs and Breakfast on October 18.

Join them for a series of 25-minute workshops on topics related to advocating for children and young adults with special needs including: accommodations in education, special needs trusts, guardianships for individuals with special needs, and aging out resources for children transitioning to adulthood.

Experienced attorneys will lead each session and welcome your questions, making this a great opportunity to get practical answers and connect with helpful resources. Attendees may participate in up to 3 workshops during the program.

This Saturday, September 6 is National Wildlife Day. Celebrate with us at Alley Pond Environmental Center!

Open House & Clothing Swap - September 6th from 10am to 3pm
229-10 Northern Blvd, Douglaston, NY 11362

Spend a day appreciating the environment and learning about animals. There will be lots of animal education, free nature walks, an early childhood story time, and an opportunity to swap gently used clothes.

For the clothing swap we can accept gently used clothing, books, toys with no missing parts, small home wares, and backpacks/purses. Please do not bring anything else including but not limited to stuffed animals & bedding. We will not be able to accept them.
