Contractor Proposal for Mississippi Process Servers.
Hi. I'm potentially interested in sharing information with you regarding contract servers in the State of Mississippi. I'm referring to server's who work at contractor prices and live within the county where the work needs to be done. I'm not referring to you using me to contract your paper out to my server and charge you a "NAPPS" or regular rate. That's just a regular request for service that anyone can do through NAPPS job post, etc. I'm referring to a contractor rate. In my opinion, the rate to pay contractors within MS is typically $35 to $60 per service for a minimum of 3 attempts but more often up to 5 attempts. The lowest price I offer to any request for service is $80 so this is not a gimmick proposal to you.
There is plenty of work coming into Mississippi so making this proposal doesn't necessarily concern me and I'm already doing this with some companies. However, if this is something that you deem inappropriate, please excuse this post and no response is needed. If you are interested in my proposal below, please only reply to me (not reply to all please) as there may be some in this email thread who aren't interested. I may have served papers for your company in years past. If we are no longer working together, please understand that I have no hard feelings toward you or your company and hope that you feel the same. This proposal is only offered for mutual benefit and on a limited basis until some trust is established. Business is business and personal opinions of your company or any you may have of my company are just that, opinions and aren't something I'm interested in discussing or digging up things from the past. Feel free to share this with anyone you know that is currently needing server's for Mississippi that have server's they currently use in Mississippi. However, I'm not interested in exchanging server's for any states other than Mississippi, Alabama or Louisiana as these are the primary locations I cover. Other area's of the nation are not what this proposal is concerning.
Here is what I'm proposing.
I have servers all over the state of MS and Alabama in area's you may not have a good server. These servers I use are a culmination of 20 years of serving process in Mississippi. Therefore, it is very likely that I have much more to offer here than anyone else (and I say this in the most humble way as I'm not intending this to be a boast). However, there are some area's in MS that are extremely difficult to find server's who can perform in all area's needed. This proposal is based on the understanding that we reciprocate this information and on a limited basis until we can see that we both mutually benefit.
I'm replacing old school servers who require papers to be mailed or sent overnight to them with server's who are computer savvy and are comfortable scanning proofs, working within our internet based software and have smart phones to update their jobs in the field. Replacing servers who are proficient in these area's benefits me by streamlining the work required by us to follow up on jobs to make sure everything is done. If attempts are being updated within our software, proofs are getting scanned and mailed back in a timely manner, it significantly increases productivity. I am just now in the past year, seeing how to streamline service of process and this is mainly due to upgrading to an internet based software that is user friendly for both my server's and clients. I currently use Servemanager. While there are many things I would like to see changed or included, in my opinion what this software does do far outweighs its shortcomings.
Here is how this would work:
1) You need a server in whatever county in MS at whatever point in the near future. I have limited contacts in Alabama and Louisiana but do have some good ones. You email me with the address and indicate you are looking for a good server at such address.
2) I respond with a list of counties that I need a better server in. If you happen to have a good contact for any of the counties I'm looking to replace a server in, we exchange the name only. After we both review the name of the person and neither of us have used such person before we offer the contact information for such person.
3) If you don't have a new to me server's name I need for whatever area I'm looking for or I don't have a new to you server's name that you need for whatever area you need, we wait until such time that the information is available before sharing the contact information. This ensures that we are not giving away information to each other and it's mutually beneficial.
Fine print on this agreement.
The server must be a good server, not one either you or I wouldn't recommend. I'm not looking to send you bad server's to harm your business. I don't operate like that. Any server that has deficiencies in communication, timely attempts, timely return of the proof of service or any other issues or problems will be disclosed when the name is sent to each other so we can both make a determination if we want to share the information.
The server must be proficient enough to go to a website, download papers to be served, print them out and have the ability to update on a smart phone. They must also have the ability to be able to scan a proof prior to mailing. The server must be able to either answer the call on the first ring or get back within an hour at the most. People who can't communicate effectively are on my to be replaced list.
If a working relationship is established, these terms can be relaxed and I may even be willing to offer the contact without reciprocation once I see some benefit from any server's you have disclosed to me. For example, if you offer a server for an area that I typically have gone through a list of server's that I no longer use that one contact may be worth more than just one area for you. I have some area's that are nearly impossible to cover for a reasonable rate. I also have some exceptional servers that go above and beyond. Those are the kind of server's I'm interested in finding to replace my average or D+ server. Thanks for your time.
