Labor Day weekend is around the corner and we have a list of ways to spend time outdoors and with family across North Georgia.

Mountain Heritage Festival in downtown Blairsville runs Saturday and Sunday, September 5–6, from 9am–5pm. Expect mountain arts and crafts, quilting and spinning demonstrations, gold panning, and kids' activities centered around Union County's historic log cabins. Free admission. Visit Blairsville GA

Folk Pottery & Arts Festival at the Sautee Nacoochee Center takes place Saturday, September 5, from 10am–4pm, with 55+ artists, pottery and blacksmithing demonstrations, live old-time music, and food trucks. Also free. Folk Pottery Museum of Northeast Georgia

Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds Rodeo in Hiawassee runs Saturday and Sunday, September 5–6. Gates open at 6pm, with the rodeo kicking off at 8pm - bucking horses, bulls, and top contestants from across the country. Georgia Mountain Fairgrounds

PIDDLIN’… that’s the mood today.

No Car Chat this week - we’ve just been piddlin’ around at our little booth at The Ellijay Antique Store!

Moving this over here… trying to drill in some screws to hang things… laughing a little… finding a treasure we probably should sell but kinda want to keep. 😂

Just a couple Realtors who apparently needed another hobby!

North Georgia country roads are full of beautiful scenery! From wildlife, flowers, and rivers to gorgeous homes and beautiful views. You’ll also see a lot of signs along the road!

Curvy Road and Slow Down aren’t just suggestions around here. Those mountain curves will humble you fast!

You’ll also see plenty of Private Road, No Trespassing, and Driveway signs, because with so many cabins and second homes tucked into the mountains, not every road is an open invitation.

One more favorite around here… there’s always the occasional Bigfoot Crossing sign. 🫈
