THANK YOU!
As this day comes to an end, tomorrow will be it! I want to take a moment and give thanks to so many.
1. First and foremost to God. Through Him all things are possible. No matter how this journey ends, I trust in Him to know which path is the right one for me.
2. My family and friends. I have never felt more loved and supported then from my friends and family. They have contributed to this venture in so many ways. They have stepped up any time I have asked and have listened to me vent when I get frustrated. They have never let me quit and always offered me words of encouragement...thank you!
3. My volunteers & supporters. My volunteers and volunteer coordinator, Lauren, have been AMAZING. Phone banking, sign waving, door hanging, sitting at the polls. Giving of themselves to help my efforts to become commissioner. And my financial supporters who helped to fund this campaign so I could get out text messages, social media, emails, phone messages. Often times with those contributions I would get messages and little notes of encouragement. Everyone who took the time to sign my petition so I could qualify. I am absolutely humbled by this support ...thank you!!
4. My opponents. I want to thank you for a fair race. We have all taken the high road and have not fought a negative fight among each other. I think it shows class and grace to not say nasty things publicly about each other. I appreciate you both and I know that no matter the outcome, we will all continue to work together to make this community as great as possible...thank you!
5. The naysayers. I want to thank you for pushing me to work harder. I appreciate the questions and accusations as it made me even more focused to show people who I truly am and what I stand for and to make sure my message was clear. Thank you!
6. Finally, to the voters. Thank you for taking the time to learn about the candidates, to get out and to vote. Your vote does matter. It doesn't matter who you ultimately chose to vote for, just make sure your voice is heard.
I will be happy with whatever the outcome is tomorrow because I think there are good people who care who are running. I will continue to serve this community in any way I can moving forward. This ride has been crazy at times but so very positive. I have met amazing people, toured many places and have had fabulous experiences that just educated me that much more about the county. I do not regret running.
If you haven't voted yet, tomorrow is the last day. 7 am to 7 pm. and you must vote in your designated precinct.
