I was honored to speak at the Kentucky Department for Aging and Independent Living Aging and SHIP conference in Lexington this week.

As the past president of the Kentucky Chapter of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, I had the opportunity to share information on special needs trusts, guardianship and other important Elder Law topics.

These conversations are vital to helping professionals better support older adults, individuals with disabilities and their families in navigating complex legal and care decisions.

My presentation focused on Special Needs Trusts as a planning tool for families supporting loved ones with disabilities.
