🍂 My 4 favorite things about fall in Elko…

01 – A warm drink + anything pumpkin. ☕🎃

There’s just something about cooler mornings in Elko, grabbing a warm coffee, throwing on a cozy sweater, and officially deciding it’s pumpkin season. 😂

02 – Taking a drive up toward the Rubies. 🏔️🍂

Lamoille Canyon in the fall reminds me why I love living here. The golden aspens, the mountains, the crisp air… It’s hard not to slow down and take it all in. And even after living here, those Ruby Mountain views never get old.

03 – Fall events that bring our community together. 🍁🤎

I love seeing Elko come alive with local events this time of year. From fall markets and local vendors to food, baked treats, entertainment, and community gatherings, there’s something about this season that makes you want to get out and enjoy where you live.

04 – The little things. 🧡

Sweater weather. Cozy evenings. Fall candles. Cooler mornings. Changing leaves. Football on in the background. And that feeling when you realize you don’t have to turn the air conditioner on every five minutes. 😂

Those little things are what make fall feel like fall.

Maybe that’s why this season is one of my favorites in Elko. It’s not just about the weather changing… It’s about slowing down, getting outside, spending time with people you love, and appreciating this little corner of Nevada that I get to call home. ❤️

🌬️ You stopped being surprised when you leave the house thinking it’s one temperature and Elko has other plans. 😂

🏡 You say “Spring Creek” like everyone automatically knows exactly which part you mean.

🤠 You know that “downtown” means more than just a place on the map; it’s where you run into someone you know every other time you’re there.

✈️ The Elko Sky Fair is happening Saturday at the Elko Regional Airport with aircraft, displays, activities, and plenty of family fun. Admission is free!

🌙 Wind down Saturday evening with Sunset Yoga at the California Trail Interpretive Center, followed by moon facts and telescope observations. It’s free and open to all ages!

💪 And if you’re looking to get moving, Fitness Classes at Angel Park are another great way to get outside and enjoy our community.

Yes, I get to tour beautiful homes, put SOLD signs in yards, and hand over those keys that everyone is waiting for. 🔑❤️

But SO much happens behind the scenes that my clients don’t always see, and honestly, I love that part of my job.

The research.

This one is a little bittersweet.

For years, this home was where my seller raised her two children and created so many wonderful memories with her family. ❤️

I know letting go of this home wasn’t easy. It held so much love, so many memories, and so many years of her life. But sometimes, life brings us to a point where we have to make difficult decisions and begin a new chapter.

Listing photos can look amazing…, but sometimes they don’t tell the whole story. 👀🏡

Wide-angle lenses, strategic lighting, and the way a room is photographed can make a space feel very different from how it actually feels when you walk through the front door.

That’s why, when you’re looking at homes for sale in Spring Creek, I always recommend going beyond the photos and asking a few important questions before getting too attached to a property.

01 — What lens was used for the photos?

Wide-angle photography can make rooms appear larger than they feel in person.

02 — Should we see the home in person?

Absolutely. The flow of the home, natural light, room sizes, yard, neighborhood, and overall feel are things you simply can’t fully experience through a screen.

03 — When were these photos taken?

Homes change. Furniture, paint, landscaping, finishes, and even the way a space is being used can be different from what you see online.
