Swipe through to learn the golden rules of both so you're always prepared:
๐ ACKNOWLEDGMENT:
โข Verifies identity & free will.
โข The document CAN be pre-signed before meeting the notary.
โข Commonly used for Deeds, Mortgages, and Power of Attorney.
โ๏ธ JURAT:
โข Signer swears/affirms under penalty of perjury that the contents are true.
โข You MUST sign it live in front of the notary.
โข Requires a verbal oath or affirmation.
โข Commonly used for Affidavits and Court Depositions.
